The managers really need to get their employees on the same page when it comes to returns. I frequently buy things from the Marshalls/Homegoods store in West Allis by my work and have had to return a few things to the Delafield store by my house. Three times now I've been told I cannot return there even though the receipt is for Marshalls/Homegoods. Each time I called after to talk to a manager afterwards (as I always have my kids with me and couldnt wait around in the store to talk to one) and every time they said I should have been allowed to return...no apology though of course for the inconvenience.
I usually love shopping at this Marshall's. It is close to home and I feel the prices are reasonable. However, what I was very disappointed with on my last trip was the two women who worked at the store and stood inside the front of the store by the front entrance complaining about their hours and other employee issues. I walked to the check out line which was about 15 people deep with only two cashiers. When help was requested the two women simply looked over and continued their conversation. Finally, about two or three minutes later some cashiers arrived to assist all of us. I would love to know when customer service and respect for your customers went out the door. This is a very prominent area and with very influential individuals that live in the community. I sincerely am appalled by what I witnessed and experience and will have to think twice before ever returning. If you hate your job that much then resign. If you truly need to vent then take it to the back and out of the customers ear shot. I am the Executive Director of a company and would NEVER allow anything like this to happen nor would I complain in front of my staff or customers. Sad to think that caring about your customers is not a top priority with everyone.
Found awesome deals! Cashier pushing WAY too hard to get me to sign up for a credit card though. No thanks
First of all. one of the store's door at Christmas time was broken, so all the people were confused and going in and out the same door. So that made for some confusion. Store was very messy and clerks were not friendly. I left without buying anything. Parking lot and location very tough to get in and out of.
As a person who hates shopping for clothes, I kind of love this store. I can get in and out quickly with what I need - for a good price.
